The Trafalgar Thunder volleyball squads continue to build for the post season finishing a West Kootenay Junior High School Girl’s Volleyball playday last week in Trail with respectable results.

The Thunder lost only once in eight games in action against host J. Lloyd Crowe Hawks and Mount Sentinel Wildcats.

Meanwhile the second Trafalgar squad won three of eight games during the playday.

Thunder coach Staci Proctor said the Hawks from Trail will be the team to beat, for sure at the upcoming West Kootenay Championships.

Proctor said Trafalgar must concentrate on receiving the ball and communication to be able to knock off the high-powered Hawks.

The Thunder host a playday November 19 at the Trafalgar gymnasium.

The West Kootenay Junior Girl’s Championship tournament is hosted at Mount Sentinel (Friday) November 27.
