Shambhala in-town meditation retreat
The Kootenay Shambhala is looking for a few people for its in-town meditation retreat on Sunday (November 1).
The retreat needs at least 10 people before a commitment can be made.
“Because we are meditating in the city, this week will be an opportunity to explore our ordinary lives in the context of intensive practice,” organizer Russell Rodgers said in a media release.
“The retreat will include breakfast and lunch, talks and guided meditation, and study of a meditation text by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche called “Being Human”. The retreat will be suitable for beginning and advanced meditators alike. The day will begin at 8 am and end at 6 pm. The evenings will have study and contemplative components in the environment of your own home.”
