Nelson’s Hampton Gray Sea Cadet Corp 81 Year-End Project
For their year end community volunteer project, Nelson’s Hampton Gray Sea Cadet Corp 81 spent several hours picking up trash on and around the Nelson Electric Tram Society train track.
The society in turn gave a wonderful extensive tour of their facility and the cadets enjoyed riding the tram and having the opportunity to question the society volunteers and learn first hand about the operational aspects of running the tram.
The Nelson Sea Cadets were established in 1949 and named after Nelson’s own WWII Victoria Cross hero Hampton Grey.
To find out more about the free cadet program open to young people ages 12 to 19, please contact Lt (N) Michelle Harris 250-359-7079.
