Mallard's Team of the Week —Nelson Youth Soccer U14 Selects

A late goal may have denied the Nelson U14 Selects the gold medal at the recent Pend Oreille Cup soccer tournament in Sandpoint, Idaho, but it did not stop staff at Mallard’s Source for sports to honour the squad with Team of the Week status.
The Selects finished second in Sandpoint after surrendering a late goal to the Spokane Breakers to grab the silver medal.
Nelson defeated Coeur d’Alene Sting 3-0 and registered a 1-0 win against the Breakers before surviving a shootout to advance to the final.
The U14 Nelson Selects team includes coach Lyle Hill, Blake Markin-Hellekson, Josh Yasek, Luka Eyre, Cody St. Thomas, Keanu Tromans, Ezra Foy, Milo Baranyai Sheppard, coach Kerry Dyck, Thomas Baxter, Jahmal Truth-Verville, Josh Schacher, Ernesto Archambault, Jaden Dyck, Jesse Thurston, Grayson Hill, Aidan Mushumanski, Angus Paterson, Jacob Erickson and keeper Bradey Sookero.
