Mallard’s Source for sports is dipping into The Nelson Daily achieves to find the latest recipient, the Kootenay Boy’s Soccer squad.
The team finished fifth — but for a few breaks in their favour could have placed much higher in the standings — at the recent BC Summer Games in Nanaimo.
“All together it was a fantastic showing from our guys,” said coach Jamie Spendlove after the Kootenay team dumped Vancouver Island to claim the consolation prize.
Malllard’s Source for sports salutes the up-and-coming soccer stars with Team of the Week accolades.
The team includes, Moss Caney, captain Fynn Keywood, keeper Carson Pottle, Nick Jenner, Heiko Ihns, Matthew Erikson, Thano Reimer, Hardy Hutt, Oliver Arcuri, Carter Anderson, Callum Cutler, Andreas Rentke-Watkins, Linden Jones, Nick Haydu, Keiran Dehnel and coach Jamie Spendlove.
