There’s going to be a rally against Smart Meters Saturday (June 14) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fortis BC sign in South Slocan.

This rally will address these issues and raise awareness about this technology and what can be done about it.

“Smart meters or A.M.I. (Advanced Meter Infrastructure) electric meters are part of a global grid system set to replace the analogue meters in the Fortis areas,” said a spokesperson for Locals join in solidarity in Nationwide rally against smart meters.

“They are neither smart nor advanced and have been shown to create  problems in many areas: health, privacy and security, safety (they can catch on fire), economics (causing whole countries, such as Germany to opt out) and for the customer, electricity bills skyrocket.”
