Pellet guns are raising havoc for police in the southern interior.

In both Vernon and Nelson, police have dealt with people being shot by pellet guns.

Sunday, in West Kelowna, a 59-year-old man also appeared to have been shot while in the back yard of a home on (Thursday) June 26 around 5:45 p.m.

RCMP Cst. Kris Clark says police have identified several suspects of interest but need to speak with the victim for more information.

Clark says it appears the man may have been living in a tent in the backyard of the home, where the incident happened.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken from the scene by ambulance.
