LVR 2014 Grad Ceremonies go off without a hitch

The 2014 Graduating Class of L.V. Rogers was saluted during graduation ceremonies at the Nelson and District Community Complex this weekend.
The weekend began with the Cap and Gown ceremony Friday, which saw graduates be recognized individually by LVR administration.
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of scholarship and bursaries from many community groups in Nelson.
Saturday, grads joined hands at the Grand March before hopping into convertibles, trucks, horses and bikes for the Cavalcade through the streets of Nelson.
The Promenade followed at Kootenay Lakeview Lodge in Balfour.
Unfortunately, grads along with all students in the Kootenay Lake School District 8 will once again be out of class Friday as the BC Teachers Federation hosts the third round of rotating strikes.
