The BC Coroners Service is for public assistance in solving the mystery of an unidentified body of a man found in the forests near Whistler.

The man, believed to be between 50 and 65 years old, was found approximately eight kilometers north of the resort city.

He had long grey hair tied back with a scrunchie, and bought food in town at Nesters Market last Nov. 13, 2014.

The man’s body was found within 200 metres of Highway 99, near the midpoint of Green Lake.

The coroners service says the man with a medium build was wearing a dark blue fleece hoodie with the word navy emblazoned on the chest in bright yellow lettering.

He was also wearing black Sportec jogging pants and size 11 Sorel winter boots.

Bifocal glasses and a dark backpack with a yellow Academy of Learning logo were recovered among his belongings.
