Penticton RCMP investigate death near OK Falls

Penticton RCMP have opened an active investigation after a body turned up Friday in a channel of water on the outskirts OK Falls Friday morning.

Penticton RCMP received a call at 9 a.m. Friday of a male floating in the channel in OK Falls.

The body of a 24-year-old Alberta man was recovered from the water.

The death has been deemed suspicious pending the results of an autopsy to be performed early next week.

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crimes Unit and Penticton RCMP continue to investigate.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
