Pink Shirt — Day Against Bullying — goes February 26
Pink Shirt Day — Wednesday, February 26 — is just around the corner.
The day when people take a stand against bullying began when a
male Nova Scotia student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.
Fifty fellow students came to school the next day wearing pink, starting the wheels in motion on the movement.
Bullying hurts everyone.
The Nelson Public Library invites the public to join in observing Pink Shirt Day on .
Wear a pink shirt to the Library and enter our draw for prizes.
Of come to the special writers event Tuesday, February 25 at 7 p.m.
Pink Words: Writers Against Bullying has authors Jane Byers, Anne DeGrace, and Cyndi Sand-Eveland with special guest youth writers on display.
Admission is by donation.
All proceeds benefit the Nelson and District Youth Centre.
