Mallard's Team of the Week — Defending Kootenay Senior Curling Champs

Six rinks are gearing up to take a run at the defending champions as Nelson prepares to host the Kootenay Senior Curling Playdowns January 17-19 at the Heritage City Club.
Defending the 2013 crown is the Tom Shypitka rink.
Shypitka came within a game of capturing the provincial banner last year, losing in the final hosted in Trail.
Staff at Mallard’s Source for Sports would like to honour the Shypitka rink before the crucial tournament with Team of the Week honours.
The rink includes lead Bill King of Fruitvale, second second Don Freschi Trail, third Fred Thomson of Nelson and skip Tom Shypitka of Cranbrook.
Other rinks entered in the championships are Ken McHargue of Sparwood, Douth Bothamley of Trail, Myron Nichol of Castlegar, Norm Fahselt, Rob Ferguson of Trail and Nando Salviulo of Nelson.
