Second annual RoboGames showcases great tech minds of future

The Dragon Shredders (Gavin Dean & Henry Craven-Shreenan) came away as the big winners at the second annual Nelson Tech Club (NTC) RoboGames 2013 Saturday (December 14) at Nelson’s Selkirk College Tenth Street Campus, Mary Hall Building.

The RoboGames allowed locals to showcase their talents in front of peers.

Second spot went to Robo Emily (Emily Stass) with CRAN (Caradoc Brennain, Dylan & Caleb Peil) / Tricky Twin Bots (Noah Rawick) sharing third spot.

Event Horizon (Noah Gaffran, Angus Wiggil, Reece Boulanger, Mathew Holitzki) took fifth.

The Nelson Tech Club (NTC) was founded in 2010 and has regular weekly attendance of 15 – 40 Hackerspace Participants. 

Every week, technology enthusiasts of all abilities (Hackers, Makers & anyone with an interest) meet at the NTC Hackerspace and share resources and ideas through the clubs motto: Build, Learn, Share. 

The NTC Hackerspace is located at the “Annex Building’ on Fell Street, Selkirk College Tenth Street campus.
