Grade 9 students receive fire training experience from NFD
As part of the L.V. Rogers school goal to increase student engagement in learning and leadership opportunities counsellors Karl Machado and Jon Francis organized a day for a group of Grade 9 boys to visit with the Nelson Fire Rescue Services.
The boys were put through their paces and learned what it takes to become a firefighter and rescue personnel (both the physical and intellectual capacity).
The boys had a tremendous time during this worthwhile experience.
Thanks to Fire Chief Simon Grypma, and firefighters Scott, Greg, and Jeff for their time.
