Black Productions puts call out for Chicago performers
The team that brought you last year’s scintillating spectacle, Cabaret, is back – this time with a little more jazz, a little more sass, and a few more murders.
Black Productions is proud to present the Tony award-winning musical, Chicago. And the production crew is looking for actors, singers and dancers.
So it you can act, sing, or dance, are 18 and older, producers want to see your stuff!
Set against the backdrop of prohibition-era Chicago and featuring some of the best music Broadway has to offer, Chicago is a story of ambition, celebrity, and the seductive power of the spotlight.
This tale of two rival vaudevillian murderesses and their slick-talking media savvy lawyer will be directed by Lisel Forst (Into the Woods, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown), with musical direction by Allison Girvan (Corazon, Les Miserables) and choreography by Mackenzie Hope (Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar).
Auditions will be held January 18th (9:30 a.m-5:30 p.m) and January 19th (6 p.m-10 p.m) with an additional absentee/university student date on December 29th, 2013 (6 p.m-10 p.m).
Chicago will run June 12th-15th, 2014 at the Capitol Theatre in Nelson.
