The franchise has been together all but for a few season, and already the players are tasting from the cup of victory.
The Nelson Killjoys rocked Salmo’s Babes of Brutality 244-130 capture the 2013 West Kootenay Roller Derby Championship at the Rossland Arena.
Mallard’s Source for sports was quick to add to the celebrations with Team of the Week honours.
The killer Killjoys include, from left, McWrath, MegA Blast, Clara Violent, Skid Licious, Concrete Cindy, Radio Flyer, TeamO, Goldie Gunshow, Jezebrawler, Courtney Shove, Lil Squirt, dON Sherri, Kai Boss (coach) and Kid Sinister.
The other teams in the league include Rossland/Trail Roller Girls, Dam City Rollers of Castlegar and Slocan Valley Vendettas.
