Power outage hits North Kootenay and East Shore
Mother Nature is being blamed for knocking out power to more than 2,600 customers in the Kaslo, Coffee Creek and Crawford Bay areas Tuesday morning.
Neal Pobran of FortisBC said the power outage started at approximately 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
“The outage is a result of trees coming in contact with our power lines,” said Pobran.
“Our crews are currently working on that right now and are expecting to get power back on this afternoon 3:30-4 p.m.”
