Marijuana advocate Rick Simpson comes to Nelson Friday

Rick Simpson and his Phoenix Tears video “Running from the Cure” woke mainstream citizens up when he made public claims that marijuana cures cancer. W
ith the 2009 “Cure” video and speaking events Simpson moved the discussion out of the hushed small circles of pot activists and into the kitchens and main-streets of the industrialized nations.
Simpson, who paid a price for being cavalier then, will explain this Friday at 7 p.m. in the asement of the Nelson United Church 602 Silica Street.
Simpson’s tour is the first time he has been to British Columbia and it is shaping up to be a youtube and facebook media event with twitching and twitting on the side.
Simpson developed an oil concentrate which he found to cure several types of cancer and assist in the healing of many serious diseases.
He will talk about the benefits of an economy based on hemp products as home building material, paper products, veterinary food and medicine, human food and medicine and the many other muses. This is a solution to the health crisis we are now in.
Donation of $10, there is a sliding scale for low income of $1 to $5.
