UPDATE: Double murder suspect in Princeton shooting appears in court Tuesday

The man charged with two counts of second degree murder in Princeton will make his first court appearance in Penticton Provincial Court Tuesday (April 2) at 9:30 a.m.

The name of the 49-year-old Princeton man is not being released at this time by police.

The charges relate to the murders of Robert (Keith) Wharton, 44 and Rosemary (Rose) Fox, 32 and the attempted murder of a 48-year-old male Saturday evening (March 30) at a property located on Old Hedley Road in Princeton, B.C.

All of the victims are residents of the community of Princeton.

No further details regarding the investigation are being released at this time.

Man in custody after shootings in Princeton Saturday

A man has been arrested as Police in Princeton continue to investigate a fatal shootings in the B.C. Interior community Saturday.

RCMP said the suspect remains in custody in connection with the shooting deaths of a man and woman near a property on Old Hedley Road.

A third man is in hospital in serious condition.

RCMP said the victims and suspect knew each other.

Major crimes is assisting Princeton RCMP with the ongoing investigation.
