Nelson Minor Hockey crowns another champion as Atom Leafs claim WK title

The Nelson Atom Leafs were special guests of the Nelson Leafs Hockey Club during Tuesday’s Kootenay International Junior Hockey League Playoff game against Beaver Valley, as so they should after capturing the West Kootenay Division Championship in dramatic fashion Sunday in Midway.
The Atom Leafs scored in the winning goal in the final 25 seconds of the game to edge Boundary 6-5 in the tourney championship.
The Nelson Minor Hockey Association squad finished the tournament undefeated in five games and the season with a stellar 15-0-1 record.
The Atom B team, similar to other NMHA teams, will display their West Kootenay League Championship banner at the NDCC.
