Federal MP Niki Ashton to speak at Fourth Annual International Women’s Day Brunch

Nelson/Creston MLA Michelle Mungall is bringing a leader in women’s issues with the announcement that federal MP Niki Ashton is coming to Nelson to speak at the Fourth Annual International Women’s Day Brunch.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ashton, set to speak at the event on Sunday, March 10 at the at the Best Western Baker Street Inn, Nelson, has championed women’s rights. 

The youngest woman in the 40th Parliament, Niki is now the Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on the Status of Women.

In addition to the feature interview with Ashton, the event will also include a live and silent auction featuring wonderful local and Creole items. 

Tickets are $50 and are available only in advance from BC Wineguys – 410 Kootenay St., Nelson.

Anyone unable to attend is urged to please consider sponsoring a student to attend by purchasing their ticket.
