The B.C. Liberal party will unveil its candidate for the upcoming provincial election in May in Nelson/Creston riding during a nomination rally Monday (February 18) at the New Grand Hotel.

The Nelson Daily has learned that Greg Garbula will be the Liberal candidate to challenge NDP incumbent Michelle Mungall in the next provincial election slated for Tuesday, May 14.

The nomination rally is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the New Grand Banquet Hall.

Garbula, past Vice-President and General Manager of the Kokanee Springs Golf Resort on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake, started his career in the hospitality industry 35 years ago when he got his entry level job in Banff/Lake Louise.

Through hard work and increased responsibility he learned from the ground up the holistic dynamic of happy customers, strong community and motivated employees.

Garbula has been an active member of the Chamber of Commerce as well as a number of local boards and has worked tirelessly in the tourism industry promoting our area as well knows the numerous opportunities and challenges that affect this riding.

He will utilize his work ethic for the economic improvement and successful betterment of our region.
