RCMP Major Crimes investigates death in Lake Country

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a Lake Country man after Lake Country RCMP was called to a residence Saturday (November 3) at around noon.

Lake Country RCMP received a call around 12:13 p.m. to a report of a “man down” laying by a vehicle at the location in the 9000 block of Highway 97.

On attendance emergency repsonders found the 61 year old man in an unresponsive state in medical distress. 

He was transported to Kelowna General Hospital by BC Ambulance for medical treatment where he remained until his passing on Tuesday (November 6).

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit and the BC Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the man’s death which has been deemed as suspicious in nature at this time.
