Maybe it’s the great fall weather.

Possibly fans are becoming disinterested in millionaire squabbling over, well, millions.

Whatever the reason The Nelson Daily readers expressed in the lastest poll question they’re not particularly interested in professional hockey, ie, The National Hockey League.

Last month NHL owners locked out its players for the fourth time in the past 20 years.

Of those The Nelson Daily readers who voted online, 46 percent really don’t care about the work stoppage — it’s just hockey, who cares?

Nine percent disagree with the owners, saying it’s the players who put fans in the seats while 10 percent agree with the owners, believing players make too much money already.

Three percent agree with the owners and 31 percent feel it’s the owners who are the cause for the lockout feeling they are their own worst enemies overpaying for free agents.

The next question poll gives readers the chance to express their opinion regarding the new heron sculpture patrolling the Nelson waterfront at the Lakeside Soccer Fields.

The eight-metre tall bronze sculpture was a gift from internationally-recognized artist Jock Hildebrand.
