BC Coroner’s Service releases name of drowning victim near Oliver
The BC Coroner’s Service has now released the name of a 32-year-old Oliver women who drowned at Gallagher Lake five kilometers north of Oliver on July 9th.
Charlene Lisa Tale was the name released by the Coroner.
The Coroner’s office says the investigation into her death is ongoing and exact cause of death has yet to be determined. No foul play is in involved.
The deceased, a female, was believed drowned after falling out of a paddle boat into the lake sometime between 6 and 6:20 p.m.
Witnesses attempted to perform CPR prior to transporting the victim to South Okanagan General Hospital where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.
