Edmonton man dies in golf accident at Predator Ridge near Vernon

Vernon RCMP confirm one man is dead and another injured after a golf cart overturned and rolled down an embackment Thursday (June 7) at the Predator Ridge Golf course, south of the Okanagan City.
Glenn Thordarson, 51, of Edmonton died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
His passenger a 44-year-old man from Calgary was injured and now has been released from hospital and is on his way back home.
Vernon RCMP and the Coroners Department continue to investigate.
Witnesses nearby the scene said the cart hit a retaining wall then turned and went over an embankment and rolled down approx 20 feet to a road below.
The golf cart has been brought in for a mechanical inspection.
Officers continue to interview witnesses who were in the area at the time of the crash.
The Coroner will be looking into the medical aspects of this death.
Police confirm it will take some time for all of the reports to b e compiled and released.
The Coroners Service will release the final findings in this case.
