Spencer, Lock each score to lead LV Rugby Bombers to a 12-5 win at the B.C. High School AA Championships
The L.V. Rogers Bombers lived up to their seventh seeding as the Kootenay reps bounced Equimault 12-5 in consolation round action Wednesday at the B.C. High School AA Boy’s Rugby Championships in Abbotsford.
Cail Spencer and Jake Lock each scored a try to power the Bomber machine.
Jordan Hunter converted both scores.
The victory was sweet for the injury-riddled Bombers which dropped a 28-7 decision in the opening game of the 16-team tournament to Southridge of Surrey.
LVR now moves on to play Windsor of North Vancouver Thursday at 12:30 p.m. The Lower Mainland squad hammered city rival Alpha 27-0.
The tournament is idle Friday before the teams conclude play Saturday.
