The official opening of Nelson Youth Soccer means winter has left for another year.
The roundballers from five to 18 have commenced another year on the pitch.
Earlier this week the older players took to Lakeside Pitch before the young stars opened season Saturday at Lakeside.
The house league season runs from April til the end of June.
The unofficial second half begins in September before concluding prior to the October Thanksgiving weekend.
The Terry Walgren Girl’s Soccer Tournament, traditionally held on the Mother’s Day Weekend in May, has been moved to the end of the month — May 26-27.
Next rep tournament is in Coeur d’ Alene May 12-13.
The Kamloops Slurpee Cup is May 19-21.
Kootenay Playdowns for the B.C. Provincial B Cup is June 9-10.
