Bombers struggle at Fulton Maroons hoop tourney

The L.V. Rogers Bombers took it on the chin at the annual Fulton Maroons Senior Girl’s Basketball Tournament Saturday in Vernon.
The Bombers lost all three games to teams from the Okanagan.
LVR opened with a 48-28 loss to Rutland Voodoos Friday.
Devyn Parker led the Bomber attack with 12 points while senior forward Samantha Einarson added six.
Saturday morning during the Breakfast Special, LVR dropped a 55-26 decision to Okanagan Mission of Kelowna. Once again Parker, with eight, and Einarson, with six, led the LVR attack.
Later in the day, Princess Margaret of Penticton outscored the Bombers 32-23 in the second half to escape with a 56-45 win.
Senior guard Melinda Halstead had eight points to lead LVR. Parker, named the tourney MVP for the Bombers, added seven.
