Mallard's Source for Sports Team of the Week — Haynes rink of Nelson
The Chris Haynes rink of Nelson has a tendency of doing things the hard-way.
After rallying from a 1-0 series deficit, the rink once again started from behind before scoring nine straight points en route to a 9-2 win in the third and deciding game of the best-of-three series and a berth in the B.C. Junior Men’s Curling Championships December 27-31 in Victoria.
Mallard’s Source for Sports is a big supporter of the underdog and has selected the Haynes rink Team of the Week.
The team includes, from left, Chris Haynes (skip) of Nelson, Cameron Opperman (third) of Castlegar, Andrew VanHooft (second) of Creston, Alex Breen (lead) of Nelson and Garry Meadows (coach) of Nelson.
