Jackson's, Lily Whites find way to winner's circle in Jackson's Hole and Finley's League Finals

Erik Leslie scored twice and field general Bill Clark controlled the tempo of the game sparking Jackson’s Hole to a 3-2 victory over Club Inter in the final of the Jackson’s Hole Men’s Masters League Sunday afternoon at the Lakeside Pitch.

The victory completed a sweep of the medals for Jackson’s Hole, winners of both the first and second-half titles before claiming the ultimate prize, the playoff crown, Sunday.

Jackson’s was knocked out of the playoffs last year in the semi finals.

Leading 1-0 on a first half goal by Leslie, Club Inter rallied to tie on take the lead in the second half on goals by John Colbeck.

However, just when it appeared the upset would happen Leslie notched his second of the game to tie the game at 2-2.

Then with time running out, second-round draft pick Morgan Dehnel, overlapping from his defensive position, snapped the tie as he put a shot past Club Inter keeper Jeff Frost.

Jackson’s advanced to the final by sneaking past Real Nelson 3-1 while Club Inter knocked off defending champion Bia Boro.

Lily Whites outlast Dirty Dozen to claim Finley’s Ladies Rec

All season long the Dirty Dozen and Lily Whites battled for top spot in the Finley’s Ladies Rec Soccer League.

In the end it was the Lily Whites getting the last laugh as the regular season runner up got past Dirty Dozen 6-4 in the final of the

Finley’s Ladies Rec Soccer League Sunday at the Lakeside Pitch.

The win was the first for the Lily Whites.

Lily Whites advanced to the final by stopping Red Dog 4-2 while Dirty Dozen eliminated the 2010 playoff winner, Finley’s Jiggers 4-1.
