Open auditions for Capitol Theatre's panto go Sunday
Capitol Theatre Christmas Pantomime auditions
@ Capitol Theatre, Sunday, Sept. 18, 11 a.m.
The Capitol Theatre presents its 24th annual Christmas Pantomime this year staging The Elves and the Shoemaker and will be holding open auditions Sunday, Sept. 18.
Ages 13 and under are invited to audition with a parent from 11 am to 1 pm. Ages 14 and over from 2-4 p.m. No appointments necessary.
The Capitol Panto is a mainstay of local theatre featuring members of the community in often ridiculous and hilarious roles. This year’s panto takes place Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 1-4.
The Capitol Panto Auditions customarily attract over 100 performers for around 50 parts so the odds are great you will be onstage at the theatre.
Last year’s wild west performances of Show Down at the Hoe Down brought in over 1,200 audience members and was a hoot’n’nanny in a handbasket.
The Panto is an annual fundraising event for the Capitol Theatre Restoration Society and is an integral part of its continued operation. Be a part of a local tradition by auditioning for the big show.
