RCMP continue investigations of allegations in Bountiful

The allegations of child smuggling have sent RCMP officers south, The Vancouver Province reports.
RCMP are attempting to investigate allegations two young girls were smuggled from Bountiful — two hours south of Nelson — to be married to the head of a polygamous sect.
Warren Jeffs, 55, leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS), was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday following his conviction in a Texas court last week for having sex with girls aged 12 and 14.
