From Caribou to Camas

@ Visitor’s Centre at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park

  • Saturday, Aug. 13, 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

The Visitor’s Centre at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park will be celebrating 100 years of BC Parks with a special guest presentation by local author Eileen Delehanty Pearkes entitled From Caribou to Camas: exploring wild foods in Sinixt Interior Salish culture.

This event will dovetail with the celebrations planned for earlier in the day at Kokanee Glacier Park.

Finish off the day in the alpine with a fascinating lecture on the remarkable relationship between the Sinixt people and their traditional environment.

The presentation will begin at 7:30 pm in the Kokanee Creek Visitor’s Centre Theatre.
