Second man charged in Vancouver riot appears in court
The second man facing charges in connection to the Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver was in court Thursday, answering to an aggravated assault charge.
Edgar Garcia, 20, was granted an adjournment until July 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Garcia — one of two charged so far in connection with the riot — left the courthouse without speaking to reporters.
The other, Joshua Evans, was set to appear in Downtown Community Court Wednesday, but his lawyer is attempting to have his charges withdrawn.
