Emerging leadership in the non-profit sector

  • @ Prestige Inn, Tuesday, May 17, 9 a.m.—1:30 p.m.

How prepared are non-profits to attract the next generation of leaders?

As Baby Boomers retire, a new group of talented executives — with their own approach to the non-profit sector — will need to fill these senior positions.

Where will non-profits find their future leaders? Are they grooming existing talent for leadership positions?

Justin Ho and Barbora Farkasova from the United Community Services Co-op will share their own experiences of how the sector has (and hasn’t) supported their leadership development as well as some of the initiatives underway to support the next-generation of leaders and their recruitment.

Expect to be engaged in a lively discussion with Justin, Barbora and colleagues that is sure to highlight the challenges and opportunities of this situation.

Who should attend this event?

  • Individuals, roughly ages 20 to 40ish years old, working in the non-profit sector who have aspirations for leadership positions.
  • Individuals identified by their manager or supervisor as having leadership potential
  • Current leaders or program managers of any age in non-profits with interest in career advancement

To register, please call the Co-op office at 352-6786.
