Answers sought in wake of report of assault near Salmo
Salmo RCMP seek the public’s assistance in identifying an assault suspect and victim.
On Saturday May 21 at approximately 9 a.m., Salmo RCMP responded to a complaint of an assault on Highway 3B just west of the Bombi junction towards Fruitvale.
A passerby reported seeing a male subject hitting a female subject with some form of stick. The alleged assault occurred inside of a green Dodge or Plymouth van – motor vehicle.
Unfortunately, no license plate information was obtained and those involved had departed the area prior to the arrival of the police,” said Cpl. Barry Graham of the Salmo RCMP.
Salmo RCMP are looking to identify the occupants of this green Dodge or Plymouth van. The van had apparently been parked just off of the highway for a few hours prior to the reported assault.
