Special meeting called for Monday to hand out CBT grants
There will be a special City council meeting this Monday to deal with the meting out of who gets what in regards to Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiative grant funding.
The special meeting is slated to immediately follow council’s committee of the whole meeting at 7 p.m.
Council will pass a resolution to recommend CBT grant funding recipients to the Regional District of Central Kootenay and the CBT for 2011.
Additional items of business will be included on the agenda which will be available at noon on Friday, April 15, 2011.
A total of 60 community organizations are asking for a total of $285,000 worth of requests but the City only has $126,445 of CBT Community Initiatives Program funding — a funding amount down from the $132,882 the city would have received under the old funding formula.
