If you want a quick synopsis of the 2011 federal election, check out The Tyee’s Guide to Strategic Voting.

Written by Crawford Kilian, the guide is one way to determine how your vote will carry the most weight, and how you can ferret out the lesser of the evils (if you see it that way).

“So fate has put you in a federal riding where your preferred candidate hasn’t got a chance,” he writes. “Vote for that candidate and the best you’re doing is putting a toonie in your party’s war chest for the next election (and this could be the last time you’ll have that consolation).”

There is also localized information on each riding across Canada, containing voter information.
