Spring cleansing

March 23, 525 Josephine St., 6:30-8:30 p.m.

As a beginning to our spring cleansing, we will assess and begin rebuilding our digestive systems.

This will involve eating simply, combining our foods carefully, and avoiding the most erosive foods to our digestive system.

We will also learn about composting, sheet layering, and making sure that your soil is in top shape.

This event is by donation.

Permaculture day

April 9, Six Mile, 9:30–3 p.m.

Come to Michael Smith’s farm and plant seeds in the greenhouse, prepare beds, and plant the early stuff like lettuces and potatoes.

We will learn about chickens and general animal husbandry.

We will also talk about sowing seeds in the wild, the use of fire for habitat management and the old way of using “prayer sticks” and other misunderstood aspects of our collective past.

Cost: $45
