Updated guide on Nelson’s free and inexpensive resources

The popular Nelson On a Shoestring guide is now available with updated information, tips, and resources on free and inexpensive living in Nelson.

Produced and compiled by The Advocacy Centre, the guide is a free booklet offering those with little money an easy way to get informed and get in touch with the resources they need.

Inside the guide you can find information on anything from food and transportation to employment, welfare, and health.

The guide is now available at The Advocacy Centre at 521 Vernon St. (352-5777 or advocacycentre@nelsoncares.ca).

This edition of the guide is produced with the assistance of The Osprey Community Foundation, The Columbia Basin Trust, and Service Canada’s Summer Jobs.
