Three people are dead after a three vehicle fatal accident on Hwy 95, 35 kilometres north of Radium, near the community of Brisco, Columbia Valley RCMP reported.

A 1996 Oldsmobile was off the road in a rest area. The vehicle had three male occupants in the vehicle. The Oldsmobile proceeded to leave the rest area and failed to yield to a south bound logging truck driven by a 59-year-old male from Golden.

The car drove out directly in the path of the logging truck. As a result, the logging truck collided with the car.

The result of this collision put the car into the oncoming north bound lane where another semi, 2007 Peterbilt driven by a 48-year-old male from Chilliwack, collided head on with the car.

All three occupants of the car were killed. Both drivers of the semi were unharmed.
