Vandal makes short work of high school
Although he was allegedly in the school for a brief period of time, a 21-year-old Nelson man was able to create over $20,000 in damages at L.V. Rogers High School Saturday.
It was scene of wanton wreckage late Saturday night when Nelson Police Department officers arrived at the school after answering the alarm call, with several computers demolished and windows smashed out
When police did a sweep of the area they found a lone man hiding in the bushes. He subsequently fled, but was chased down and arrested a few blocks later.
The 21-year-old Nelson man is facing a number of charges in court today, including mischief over $5,000.
