Perry Ridge call to action

The call for action is still going out on Perry Ridge.
Various interest groups in the Slocan and Little Slocan river valleys are getting together to try and prevent logging on Perry Ridge and have the area of Crown land designated part of Valhalla Provincial Park as an ecological reserve.
A meeting will be taking place Monday, Nov. 8 (time and place to be announced) on the topic of what can be done. It follows on the heels of an Oct. 25 meeting in Slocan at the Youth Centre where the question of how to create a community-supported economy based on preserving the resource rather than using it up was asked.
