Council corrects omission

A City council motion was recently adopted to right a 16-year-old omission.
Council adopted the motion for the proper name of the Nelson Hydro plant at Bonnington Falls as Alexander Carrie Hydro Plant, a name that was never formally adopted by council when it came forward in 1994.
Although that council had a plaque erected at the site, said Coun. Marg Stacey, the motion was never formally adopted.
However, council opted not to have a sign on Highway 3A directing people to the plaque.
