One dead after two-vehicle collision at Slocan junction

One woman has died after a two-vehicle accident near the Slocan Valley junction Thursday afternoon.
West Kootenay Traffic Services said the 84-year-old woman failed to yield on Osachoff Road as it entered Highway 6 and was struck by a dump truck.
The woman died at the scene while the truck driver was uninjured.
The accident is now under investigation.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and both parties were wearing their seat belts.
