Here’s two items from the Nelson Youth Centre to stir you up:

Need help with raking this fall?

Why not take advantage of the Employment Centre’s Casual Work Program?

You decide the hours and wage then call us to let us know how many youth you need. The YERC team goes through our list of over 40 Casual Workers, and those who have the skills and are available will call you directly.

Pick whomever you prefer, arrange any details, have the work done and pay them when the job is over. Easy.

All youth participating in the program are between the ages of 15-30, live and work in the area, and have taken a job safety workshop.

Call us at (250) 352-5656 to list your casual job.

Free Certifications

Looking to boost your resume and gain an advantage over the competition?

YERC offers and a variety of certifications that will help you do just that! We present: first aid, WHMIS, Food Safe, World Host and Serving it Right.

Certification courses occur every three to six weeks free of charge for those between the ages of 15 and 30 and you attend a job readiness workshop prior to the certification workshop.

Job Readiness workshops are mandatory as a part of the certification process; for First Aid Level 1 and Food Safe, you must attend a six-hour workshop. For Serving it Right and WHMIS, a three-hour workshop is required.

Just call Anna at 250-352-5656 or email her at [email protected] for more information and upcoming dates.
