Ferrari pulled over 101 km/hour above posted speed limit

A man driving a Ferrari had his vehicle impounded for seven days after being pulled over by Fraser Valley Integrated Road Safety Unit police officers on in Surrey (Saturday) April 19.

The vehicle was clocked at 101 km/hour above the posted 80 km/hour limit.

“Despite the driver’s extremely excessive speed, the real surprise for officers was when they saw a young child in the vehicle with the man,” says Corporal Robert McDonald.

“I don’t know how someone could put a child at risk like that.”

The Ferrari was travelling Southbound on 176th Street at 32nd Ave, and the vehicle was pulled over without incident.

The driver was issued a violation ticket for Section 148(1) of the Motor Vehicle act Excessive Speed ($483) and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

“What’s more, the driver admitted to police that he was aware that very intersection was the scene of the horrific motor vehicle accident where an entire family lost their lives,” said Cpl. McDonald.
