Beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Lorna was a long-time resident of Kaslo (Shutty Bench) where she raised her family with her husband. Family was most important in her life. “Sister-Fest” was a particular highlight every year. She will be sadly missed by her 4 sons, David (Pam), Justin (Leah), Josh (Annette), Lane, 7 grandchildren, her 7 sisters and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Butch Surina. During her life, she was involved in many community activities, sports, and loved traveling, gardening, bird watching, and new adventures. Toward the end of her life, Lorna bravely battled COPD with a courageous smile.
A memorial service will be held at the Balfour Covenant Church, 7741 Upper Balfour Road on August 24th at 1 p.m.
