Perepolkin, Mike

(January 6th, 2023)

Mike passed away peacefully on the morning of January 6th, at the age of 97.

Mike will be lovingly missed by his daughter Bev (Jim) Fischer, daughter-in-law Elaine Perepolkin, granddaughters Lindsay Patterson and Jenalee Perepolkin, great-granddaughters Mackenzie, Rylin, and Taya, nephews Allen Boolinoff, Robert Chernenko, and niece Terri Verigin.

Predeceased by his wife Mary Perepolkin(2022), his son Randy Perepolkin(2008), and his sisters Molly Boolinoff, Elizabeth Streloff, and Florence Chernenko.

Mike had a kind and gentle demeanor. He was loving and devoted to his family.

He always had a project on the go. When anything needed fixing, he would come up with a clever solution and a repair.

In their younger years, Mike along with his wife Mary would travel to the Okanagan to work in the orchards each summer.
Later on, Mike worked as a mechanic at Peebles Motors in Nelson, which, after a fire, was transformed into Peebles Motor Inn (now the Best Western), where he spent many years working as a maintenance man.

Mike liked working on his vehicles, and especially restoring classic cars with his son. One of his greatest enjoyments was playing guitar and singing with Mary, as well as jamming with family and friends.

Mike and his family were grateful for the care, dedication, and compassion he received from the staff at Mountain Lake Seniors Community, which was his home for the last 3 ½ years of his life.
